It's a clear, crisp morning. Behind a waving flag in the distance,
the mountains provide a dramatic backdrop for the golfer standing
intently at the teeing ground. That golfer, Frank Shipman, steps up and
takes a couple of practice swings. It's a grand Prescott morning and
Frank is in his element, enjoying his favorite pastime in his favorite
community. With complete focus, he judges the distance to the pin,
looks at the ball, and with a graceful arc brings the club down. With a
near perfect drive, he sends the ball on a trajectory toward the flag.
As the ball bounces onto the green, Frank smiles. His focus and
planning have paid off with a great shot.
His Passion
Golf
is Frank's passion. He's played baseball, been a cross-country runner
and enjoys snowboarding, but for the most part, he's on the golf
course. Watch him on the links and you'll see a focused and determined
individual. But that's Frank: No matter what he's undertaking in his
personal or professional life, it's always with his trademark
concentration.
Early Beginnings
Ask
Frank where he got this attribute and he'll tell you it was instilled
in him from an early age by his parents, who taught him the importance
of making the most of his opportunities in life. Following graduation
from a prestigious prep school, Frank worked his way through college,
graduating from Ohio University with a degree in business. During this
time, he met his wife Jeanne. The two have been happily married for
more than 30 years, raising two children, Scott, an attorney, and
Susan, who works for the Maryland Department of Energy.
Entrepreneurial Focus
After
college, Frank bought a printing firm with eight employees and gross
sales of $100,000. With his diligent focus, a savvy business plan and
hard work, he created a successful company with more than 40 employees
and sales close to $6 million. He sold that company, relocated to
Prescott and hasn't looked back.
Golf Connection
Over
the years, Frank's focus on his favorite pastime had grown. He was
involved with tournament planning and became a Tournament Director for
the prestigious Porter Cup Amateur Championship. Responsible for
recruiting players, Frank brought in some famous up-and-coming
golfers - including a rising star named Tiger Woods. When Frank made the
move to Prescott, he found a perfect place for his golfing passion. He
currently serves on the Arizona Golf Association and the USGA.
The Right Focus
It's
clear that Frank loves the Prescott area. It's also clear that he is
passionate about his career as one of the area's leading real estate
professionals. He loves how the profession allows him to make a
positive difference in the lives of clients who trust him with their
real estate needs. Of course, he understands the importance of his
clients' investments, and he approaches his work with a determined
focus, business savvy and careful planning. The results are always
spectacular, and his appreciative clients refer him to their friends
and associates.

buying a primary residence, a secondary vacation home, or retiring to
the Prescott area, Frank Shipman is the real estate professional for
